What is osteoarthritis?
Osteoarthritis is a painful condition that affects the joints. It is a chronic disorder of the musculoskeletal system in which the joint cartilage deteriorates and, over time, can even disappear completely, while extra bone may form at the joint edges. Pain, stiffness and loss of function are characteristic of this condition.
